Jack Gutknecht

Arizona Bible College graduate and Dallas Seminary graduate
I was a factory worker almost all my life, now retired. I used to be an addict. I fought against this sin in my life, but I could not win at all. But I came to Christ through a Billy Graham crusade to which my grandmother took my sister and me in 1964. I played 12-string guitar in both our English and Spanish worship services at the church for 5 years and taught kids for about 50.

The "ABC/DTS graduate" means that I graduated from Arizona Bible College 'magna cum laude' and from Dallas Theological Seminary.

I got "The Map and Compass Award" from Scottsdale Bible Church for getting my carload lost so many times on College and Career outings. I haven't changed much.

We were proud cat owners of a Domestic Shorthair tabby, "Sophie," who was a kitten abandoned at a busy intersection in Atlanta and who crawled into the wheel well of the car of my brother-in-law, while he was paused at a stoplight. A nearby car had to call his attention to her before the light turned green!

She died, and now we adopted 2 kittens!

Q

What is the lesson of the fig tree (Matthew 24:32-25)?

Matthew 24:32 - 35

32 From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates.
