This Psalm, like Psalm 19, is a recast of Genesis 1. It reflects the joy of God's creation. It is praise and acknowledgement that all life is dependant on the creator God. It is a personal response to God. Verses 33-35. In John 1:5, we are told God is light, in verse 2 this psalm repeats the same thought. In Genesis 1 we are told God said Let there be light. This Psalm alludes to heaven, so does Genesis 1. This Psalm discusses the creation story. 104:14, 15 tells that God has given all that is needed for life. Verses 27-30 declares everything is dependant on God. We are His creatures. Everything belongs to God! Indeed, Jesus said, "I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out." All belongs to God! Praise, honor, grateful hearts, worship! All! Even the breath we take belongs to God!

Psalm 104 says that the very great God (Ps 104:1-- “Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honor and majesty.”) is very wise (Ps 104:24) He is very wise, a fact based on the variety of creation that He made: "The earth is full of your creatures" (104:24). –-- That is the creation of land and sea creatures, i.e. animals (Ps 104:24-25; Gen. 1:20-28, created on Day 6 (Ps 104:21-24; Gen 1:24-28). O LORD, how manifold are thy works! In wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches. O Lord, how manifold the works In wisdom wrought by Thee; The wealth of Thy creation fills The earth and mighty sea. On Day Six God made the animals. And, God made man. Again, the psalmist is left breathless by the sheer variety and numbers. Some people get excited about the question of whether bacteria might once have lived on Mars. They should get even more excited about all the life God put on earth – so much that scientists can barely keep track of it all. "In wisdom, you made them all," says the psalmist (Ps 104:24). Saying what? Saying that evolution and blind chance are not responsible. God is. Psalm 104 says that our God very generous (Ps 104:27). According to Psalm 104:10-23, 25-30, He cares and provides for all his creation. This provision includes food (Ps. 104:13, 15, 23, 27-28): He provides a crop from human labor including wine, olive oil, and bread. Everyone and everything depends on God for food.
