Surely, God is a God of plan, purpose, design and specificity, therefore He created the universe to be inhabited by man, His highest creation. Although I don't believe there's life outside of this planet, I do believe once the Lord returns the heavens will be filled with a beauty that will surpass our greatest imaginations. I also believe that for life to exist outside of the earth, we need to ask the question whether other life forms have been created with a free will. If not, they would be below man's, but if equal to, the question would need to be be asked, would there be the need for a redeemer? Would the creator need to die all over again multiplied by billions of humans all over the universe? I think not, so let 's be assured that a universe waits to be discovered by the redeemed of the Lord.

The heavens and the earth were created in Genesis 1:1 to be a temporary place to process the eternal purpose of God, i.e. to multiply His eternal fellowship which in the beginning was the Triune God - Elohim - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Into this theatre of His creation, He created man to be in His image and likeness. For this purpose Christ came, Romans 8:29; Hebrews 2:9-13. Once this goal is achieved, the current heaves and earth will disappear, Revelation 21:1-3 and we will have an even more glorious setting for all eternity. Man was the major point in creation, not the heavens and the earth. Man was created eternal, but the heavens and the earth were created to be temporary - even the Hebrew for Genesis 1:1 indicates this. So we are special, not the heavens and the earth. How great is the love of God that He would call us the sons of God, 1John 3:1-3.

I see God as THE CREATOR and He creates as an extension of who He is. To ask Him why? Is kinda like asking an artist. "Why did you create so many paintings?"

My simple and somewhat short answer to this much pondered question is this: God created the Heavens and the Earth to declare His GLORY! He stretched out His hands and spoke everything we see and beyond what we see into a perfect existence. Science fiction is just that: FICTION! I am personally one of the biggest science fiction movie buffs you would ever meet! But, when I read His written WORD, God tells us exactly what He did. God doesn't and didn't mince any words. Simply, GOD is TRUTH! People need to read, ponder, study, and really focus on His Eternal TRUTH, which is the Word of God. It is found, of course, in His written 'gift' to us in His Word - the Holy Bible- for His children! (John 3:16) "For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth IN Him shall receive eternal life". ***Yes, we are the center of the universe! Why, one may ask! Because "God So Loved The World". God loves us so much that He sacrificed His ONLY SON on that cross to take away your sins and my sins and all of our Christian forefather's sins, etc. Yes, we are God's most precious and perfect creation! We are made in His image! The planets, stars and multitudes of galaxies are to declare His Glory. Mankind is the Pinnacle of all of His creation. This is why I believe He did not create any form of life of any kind, shape or form nor other beings on any other so called planet that exists in all of God's created universe.*** "Praise God that we have a Savior! It is my opinion that there is life only on the planet earth. I say this because Jesus died ONCE for all. Jesus lived on this earth and died to save us. There is only one WORD. Narrow? Yes. But so is God's plan of salvation.

...I believe wholeheartedly that the Lord has created uncountable worlds... None of them fallen--except for Earth. Whether He had created life on any of those planets before life on Earth, is unknowable at present. Just one of many--read that infinite--mysteries that we will be able to explore in eternity.

God exists. God created ex nihilo, out of nothing. Eph 1: tells us: he chose us in him before the foundation of the world.In 2 Tim 1:9 [God] who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began. God promised in Titus 1:2: in hope of eternal life, which God, who never lies, promised before the ages began. "Before the ages" means before creation. All three of these verses indicate God's plan before he created anything. These verses and the whole of scripture indicate that we, man, are God's special creation for fellowship with Him. Maybe we are the only ones; maybe we are not. But scripture does not indicate any other created by God. All else is speculation and conjecture.
