John 1:1 - 18
NASB - 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God.

In the beginning was GOD, because he was here before the world was formed and he is the word that became flesh and dwelt among us. He (JESUS) is the word.
