The preterist view is most accurate given that Daniel prophesied that the kingdom was given to the saints and will never be given to another people.
The last enemy to be destroyed is death not antichrist or the beast. The last beast to rule the world was the Roman empire and it will never be revived again. Jesus dealt an end to these powers with his kingdom which was given to the saints.
The ten toes of clay and iron will never be one or form a world empire again. Dan.2&7.

The future of the church is to become the highest of the mountain where nations will go to ask for the ways of the Lord. The kingdom which begin as a mustard seed will grow and cover the whole world even as leaven in a dough as Jesus put it.
