How we can we show respect to liars, murderers, or anyone who breaks the law?

Romans 13:8 - 10

ESV - 8 Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet," and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Agape love, we all need it. To respect someone who commits a crime or hurts you or another, I think this is not a respect thing. Respect needs to be earned through trust. Love and forgiveness in God's method through our hearts really is the only way. I think of it this way: if God loves me and forgives me of wrong, then why should I not do the same to my fellow man?

Jesus died and bled on that cross for us all, forgave us all no matter what or when we fall. He always forgives us if we ask, and those that don't ask, we love them anyway because we are to be representatives of Jesus.

In Matthew 6:14-15, Jesus states if we do not forgive others, our Father in heaven will not forgive us. Forgiving is a choice, and it's done. Nowhere in the bible can I find where God states we must trust any person. He said, "Trust only in me and not in man."

In my opinion, it is not by respect but by love that we are to show towards sinners.

As Christians we are to display the same love that we have received by God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins.

For it is evident according to Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Jeremiah 31:3 says, "The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee."

It is by the love of God that sinners are drawn to Him.

According to the scripture that you referenced, it is quite clear, that love is the fulfillment of the law.

It is not by the works of the law shall any man be justified, but by the grace of God!

Thank God for His amazing grace!
