The most fundamental thing Jesus ever said was that we should love our neighbor as we love ourselves.
The story of the Good Samaritan tells that who ever we meet is our neighbor. Sadly, many think their neighbor is someone like them who lives where they live and who believes what they believe.
So, Christian church should serve both its own members as well as those outside the church, or it is missing the point of Christianity.
