We did a study today where we learnt about angels who are ministering spirits. (Hebrews). These angels have the ability to appear as humans. Most examples of angels appearing are when people have been involved in accidents and needed help. We have stories of helpers who showed up from No where and later just virtually vanished. The man who appeared in this case to the widow to solicit for money to pay bills might have been an angel.

'Ghost," as an evil or benevolent entity, is not the Biblical word. The Biblical Word is Spirit, capital letter S, indicating the Holy Spirit. At death the Spirit of one who has authentically been born again (John 3:3) departs. The terminology demands that his Spirit departed, not that "he gave up the ghost."

There are no spirits except the Holy Spirit. Evil, as well as good, exists in the heart of mankind only. "The devil made me do it," is completely bogus.

The motivation behind every act is in the mind of man. We have a choice to do either good, evil or nothing. Every person has the capacity to do evil. It's a choice.

Most of us try to do the "right" thing. When our actions are based on our belief in Jesus Christ, those actions turn out as good works of the Spirit. Remember, after receiving the free grace of Jesus Christ, our inspiration for service to others is magnified a thousand fold. We don't do these works to obtain salvation, we do them to glorify our Father in heaven.

As far as another dimension which contains wandering spirits? That can only be found in books, movies and TV. Ghost hunting is a scam and a poor attempt to see and hear things that aren't really there. I wish there would be a reality show where people would search and receive the Holy Spirit instead of phoney trickery.

Yes, good and evil is found in people, not spirits.

There is only one spirit that is not false or evil and that is the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Tri-Unity of God. If one is clothed ("put on the full armor of God..." Ephsians 6:10-17) spiritually the evil spirits will be revealed and will not be able to overcome member of the Body of Christ.
