When people refer to the Antichrist they see only one person. This is true. He will not only be the man of sin whom Paul spoke of, but there is much more to understand to this. A kingdom will come up from the pit with his army. He is referred to as the second beast. Ten nations will form an allegiance with him for one hour. At the end of the hour the ten kings will turn on this last kingdom. The number 666 first appeared within the Babylonian Empire. They made a medallion depicting the the numbers 1 height 36, which when added together was 666. The number 666 was also inscribed on the medallion. Now, the medallion was honoring the false gods they worshipped. The reason it says the number 666 was the number of a man is because it was developed by man and not God. It showed their form of worship. As for your question concerning Christians seeing the false christ, yes. Look at the harvest in Revelation. Those who are resurrected. This will give you your answer. But understand this answer is only in part.
