Not according to the bible. We can cut our life short by living in sin. Not loss of salvation because believers have all their sins paid for, past, present, and future. Romans 4:7-8.

But God can cut our life short. First Corinthians 5:5 This was a born gain believer. Ephesians 4:30 who was grieving the Holy Spirit by sleeping with his fathers wife.

He was about to lose his life and the rewards he could have had in heaven, but the man was still saved. John 3:18.

The same could be said of believers who overdose on drugs. Or get depressed and take their own life. Saul fell on his sword to keep from being captured by the enemy. God told him the day before that the next day he and his son would be with him.

And there are general rules that produce a long life. Those who honor their father and mother will have long days on the earth.

That does not mean that all believers will have a long life. We live in a fallen world full of diseases, car accidents, loss of life from a multitude of different things.

I am 80 years old. Why I do not know. One thing I do know is that when I die I will be present with the Lord.

The bible says we are appointed once to die, and after that the judgement. The judgement seat of Christ for rewards in heaven, for believers, and the great white throne judgement for unbelievers. John 3:18.

When God is through using me He will take my life. I believe we are very close to the rapture of the church. So I may just be transformed into my new body and not die. First Corinthians 15:51-53 Either way I will go to be with the Lord. His promise to us. John 6:47 John 10:28-29. John 3:18. John 6:40.

Jesus said, let not your heart be troubled, if I go to prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you unto myself.

He also said we do not know what is going to happen tomorrow.

When my next to the oldest son died in a motorcycle accident I was having a great day mowing my lawn when an officer and a minister came to tell me my son was dead. I was in shock and could not believe it. How could this happen? But the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
