Are there personal responsibilities associated with receiving honor as a parent?

1. Does the bible reference a parent's responsibility or behavior as it relates to receiving honor?
2. As a parent can I demand honor or respect?
3. Is honoring a parent, for a child, conditional on the parents actions?

Exodus 20:1 - 26

NKJV - 1 And God spoke all these words, saying: 2 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

I would have to do further investigating to answer #1.
For the second question, I don't think you can demand honor or respect. You can teach your child to listen and obey. But, that's not the same as respect.
For the third question, honoring a parent isn't conditional because it's part of the Ten Commandments and it's commended in the New Testament as well.
I hope this helps and is a good starting point.
