Why is there a need for healing leaves from the tree in Revelations?
If by then, the new heavens and earth are established, what will these leaves do or represent? Or is this now in heaven and how are they being used to heal the nations?
Revelation 22:2
ESV - 2 Through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

I find this such a profound question. It seems to be almost like Ezekiel 47:8-12 where after what looks like a time of great restoration, there is a River of healing and leaves for medicine.
Zechariah the Prophet records in chapter 14:16-19 of a time when all the Nations will be required to 'go up' to worship the Lord and keep the Feast of Tabernacles, could that be where they would be need for healing?
I wonder if this is one of those ones that only the Father knows and we will only get it when we are in His glorious presence? Where there is no more worry, no fear, no tears no pain. Longing, yearning Beloved Chatan.
Having said that 'The Lord's secret is with those who fear Him. It is His glory to conceal a matter so we ask for grace to search this one out.
