In short, the conviction of the Holy spirit will lead to recognizing the sin, repenting, and performing any restoration needed. Conversely, the accusation of Satan will not lead to action or repentance, but to shame and worry. Satan would rather we wallow in our sin, vs. confess it so that Jesus will forgive it.
