Punishment for Blasphemy
Now the son of an Israelite woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel; and this Israelite woman's son and a man of Israel fought each other in the camp.
And the Israelite woman's son i blasphemed the name of the LORD and j cursed; and so they k brought him to Moses. (His mother's name was Shelomith the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.)
Then they l put him in custody, m that the mind of the LORD might be shown to them.
And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
"Take outside the camp him who has cursed; then let all who heard him n lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him.
"Then you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'Whoever curses his God o shall bear his sin.
'And whoever p blasphemes the name of the LORD shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall certainly stone him, the stranger as well as him who is born in the land. When he blasphemes the name of the LORD, he shall be put to death.

You shall not revile God, nor curse a ruler of your people.
So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, "It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts." Thus Job did regularly.
"But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!"
In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.
They will pass through it hard-pressed and hungry; and it shall happen, when they are hungry, that they will be enraged and curse their king and their God, and look upward.
And let them judge the people at all times. Then it will be that every great matter they shall bring to you, but every small matter they themselves shall judge. So it will be easier for you, for they will bear the burden with you.
So they judged the people at all times; the hard cases they brought to Moses, but they judged every small case themselves.
They put him under guard, because it had not been explained what should be done to him.
So Moses brought their case before the LORD.
But you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people.
The hands of the witnesses shall be the first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So you shall put away the evil from among you.
If a man takes his sister, his father's daughter or his mother's daughter, and sees her nakedness and she sees his nakedness, it is a wicked thing. And they shall be cut off in the sight of their people. He has uncovered his sister's nakedness. He shall bear his guilt.
But the man who is clean and is not on a journey, and ceases to keep the Passover, that same person shall be cut off from among his people, because he did not bring the offering of the LORD at its appointed time; that man shall bear his sin.
