The Lord Reigns
The LORD a reigns;
Let the earth rejoice;
Let the multitude of isles be glad!
b Clouds and darkness surround Him;
c Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.
d A fire goes before Him,
And burns up His enemies round about.
e His lightnings light the world;
The earth sees and trembles.
f The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the LORD,
At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
g The heavens declare His righteousness,
And all the peoples see His glory.
h Let all be put to shame who serve carved images,
Who boast of idols.
i Worship Him, all you gods.
Zion hears and is glad,
And the daughters of Judah rejoice
Because of Your judgments, O LORD.
For You, LORD, are j most high above all the earth;
k You are exalted far above all gods.
You who love the LORD, l hate evil!
m He preserves the souls of His saints;
n He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.
o Light is sown for the righteous,
And gladness for the upright in heart.
p Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous,
q And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.

Say among the nations, "The LORD reigns; The world also is firmly established, It shall not be moved; He shall judge the peoples righteously.
And the LORD said to Moses, "Behold, I come to you in the thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and believe you forever." So Moses told the words of the people to the LORD.
Then you came near and stood at the foot of the mountain, and the mountain burned with fire to the midst of heaven, with darkness, cloud, and thick darkness.
1 Kings 8:12
Then Solomon spoke: "The LORD said He would dwell in the dark cloud.
He made darkness His secret place; His canopy around Him was dark waters And thick clouds of the skies.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face.
Smoke went up from His nostrils, And devouring fire from His mouth; Coals were kindled by it.
A fiery stream issued And came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, And the books were opened.
Before Him went pestilence, And fever followed at His feet.
Now Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.
The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted.
The Lord GOD of hosts, He who touches the earth and it melts, And all who dwell there mourn; All of it shall swell like the River, And subside like the River of Egypt.
The mountains will melt under Him, And the valleys will split Like wax before the fire, Like waters poured down a steep place.
The mountains quake before Him, The hills melt, And the earth heaves at His presence, Yes, the world and all who dwell in it.
The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.
You shall not make for yourself a carved image - any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: "Let all the angels of God worship Him.
That they may know that You, whose name alone is the LORD, Are the Most High over all the earth.
"Now I know that the LORD is greater than all the gods; for in the very thing in which they behaved proudly, He was above them."
For the LORD is the great God, And the great King above all gods.
For the LORD is great and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.
Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.
Hate evil, love good; Establish justice in the gate. It may be that the LORD God of hosts Will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
Oh, love the LORD, all you His saints! For the LORD preserves the faithful, And fully repays the proud person.
The LORD preserves all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy.
He guards the paths of justice, And preserves the way of His saints.
And the LORD shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, And save them, Because they trust in Him.
"I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked, And I will redeem you from the grip of the terrible."
Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and AbedNego', who sent His Angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except their own God!
You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.
Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
But the path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.
Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful.
Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of His, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.
