Retired Aircraft Structural Repairman/Machinist
My parents were already members of the Church of God (Headquarters based in Cleveland, Tenn.) when I was born. I was raised in the COG denomination and finally joined when I became an adult. I left that denomination several years ago and am now attending a Non-Denominational Pentecostal church where I serve as Sunday School teacher.
I accepted Jesus as my Savior at the age of 10 and I experienced the infilling of the Holy Spirit at the age of 12. I can't say that I've always been on the mountain top through out my life but I can say that I've never quit and I've always stayed in church and allowed myself to be saturated by the preached Word of God as much as possible. I attribute the preaching of the Word of God as the means of being where I am at this present time as faith really does come by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. I've never been closer to God in all my 68 years than I am right now. The saying is true about the relationship with Christ getting sweeter as the days go by.
