What does Bible say about embryonic selection due to genetic abnormalities?

That is, for embryos created through in vitro fertilization, is it appropriate or not to use Preimplantation genetic diagnosis as a screening test to determine whether or not an embryo has a genetic disease, so that only healthy embryos are chosen to implant?

Say there are ten living embryos, and one is selected for implantation, what would happen to the other 9? Nine lines thrown in the bin?

A doctor is supposed to live by his code - to protect lives. Throwing nine lives in the bin is contrary to his primary duty.
