Adam was created on the Sixth Day, (now called Friday). Gen 1:23 shows the end of the work for the fifth day. Gen 1:24-31 narrates all the activities for the sixth day, and that's where we see Adam's creation (vs 26-27). Eve was created on the same day as Adam. Gen 1:27 Gen 2:20-23 is a detailed, recap of Gen 1:27. It's not a new event. Because after the sixth day, nothing was created. Gen 2:1-3. I hope this is helpful. Bless.
Genesis 1:24-31 chronicles the details of the beginning to the end of the 6th day of the creation with verses 26 and 27 specifying the creation of mankind, Adam and then Eve, in His own image.
