Hi Joan, saw your question and wanted to comment; hope your having a blessed day in the LORD.

If you go to the Gospels: Matthew 26:19-29; Mark 14:17-24; Luke 22:14-22; and John 13:1-3, you will see that Judas was indeed at the Passover meal with Jesus. Judas is verified in each account as the betrayer by Jesus and even gave the hint of who it was. Judas was not present when Jesus showed, by His example of being the Servant of the Father, his washing the disciples feet *

I believe, like Judas, many can take the supper ordinance but only the true believer knows the significance, remember 1 Sam 16:7, God looks/knows the heart not the outward appearance. We cannot see the heart nor if a person is born again, but God does. Judas was given the same opportunities, traveled with the eleven, talked and listened to the same Savior,... yet he made the decision to turn away and refuse.

That is truly the love of God, to give us everything needed to keep us from hell and let us make our choice, Judas is just one who knows the Way, Truth, and the Life but walks the other way.
