Where was Jesus before his ministry?

We know at twelve he was found in the temple teaching, but then there is no reference of the following years until the start of his ministry.

Before His ministry Jesus was at home with his parents doing the things most Jewish children did at his age and during His era. He was also learning the carpentry trade from his step father, Joseph. You know, Jesus was also a carpenter. He was also studying the Torah learning about the law and prophets and getting a revelation of who He is and what His purpose was on earth. Amen.

Matthew 4:12-17 indicates that either just before, or as he was starting his public ministry, Jesus moved from Nazareth to Capernaum. Also, after he had attended the wedding at Cana, Jesus, his mother and brothers and his disciples went and stayed in Capernaum (John 2:12) perhaps at the same place he had been living?
So that is one thing he did before his ministry years.
We know he did not keep a home after this because he says in Matthew 8:20 "... the Son Of Man has nowhere to rest his head."
So whatever Jesus was doing before his public ministry, he gave it all up when he began to preach and teach, just as he called his disciples to do.

My opinion on this is simply like this. Whether we find out where Jesus went, what Jesus did before His ministry, or who was with Him aside from Joseph and Mary, it would not matter anymore.

One thing that is sure: Jesus fulfilled the prophesies about Himself and finished His task that His Father in heaven given for Him. What matters is what we must do as a children of God; doing what Jesus taught us to do.
