Great question in my humble opinion there is No difference because they both produce the same fruit, that of no trust by the hearer of the empty false words.

Today it's quite fashionable it seems to be either of these, as you might get your own reality show or even be elected to a high political office!(Ephesians 4:18)

The Bible is quite clear that a season such as this would come someday and behold it's here before our eyes and ears a lawlessness as prophesied. (Judges 17:6)

There have always been dishonorable men known as liars, what is different now is that it's flippantly done everywhere and even celebrated with no shame at all by people in sworn positions of public trust undermining the society it self. (Exodus 23:1)

Christians need to be a peculiar people of honor, where their word is their bond, if you don't mean it, don't say it and please don't promise it! (Philippians 2:15)

Your good name is worth more than gold and the name of your Lord is above priceless, consider that people's souls may depend on a miracle your promise could bring, don't you damage their trust in the body, please. (2 Corinthians 1:19)

I was taught that if you gave your word to do something and failed to do so, there were only two acceptable excuses, you were in jail or you were DEAD.

If today you've got the jacket of either of these from your past, you can change it right now and rewrite your history and yes even amaze those around you.
Become a person of honor, say what you mean and mean what you say 24/7.

The Lord keeps His promises to us, and we are to mirror HIM to the world!

In the Lord's freedom we are honor bound by word............warrior on
