I don't see where Satan was mentioned during the creation of the universe.

I believe the angels were created long before the Genesis account. Their primary purpose and function was to worship and serve God. (Isaiah 6:2-3) In Hebrews 9:23 regarding the Levitical sacrificial system it states that these were representative of the patterns that actually existed in heaven. If they existed previously this would require operation by angelic beings. Considering Christ was " the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." (Revelation 13:8) the plan of salvation was all in the heart and mind of God and "in the works" from eternity past. In Job 38 The Lord was rebuking Job for speaking while only posessing a very limited amount of knowledge. In verse 4 we read: "Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding." Job 38:5 "Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? Or who hath stretched the line upon it?" Job 38:6 "Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? Or who laid the corner stone thereof;" Job 38:7 "When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?" Although Satan has fallen and the archenemy of God he is still allowed to come into God's presence. Job 1:6 "Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them" Revelation 12:10 "And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night."
Satan has not been banished from Heaven. Job 1:6; 2:1, 2 Chr 18:20 Not until Rev 9:20 will Satan be banished from Heaven.
