If dreams are a continuation of our thoughts and our desires, is having promiscuous sex in dreams a sin?

The majority of dreams are the brain sorting and filing new thoughts, memories and stimuli, linking them into the existing structures, and reinforcing those structures (so we don't forget the past).
We dream approximately every 90 minutes during sleep, during the REM period of each sleep cycle.
Except at the point of almost waking up, we cannot control this mechanism, or generally even remember our dreams.
Illness, stress and other causes of chemical imbalance can influence the process; for example, a person with a fever can have recurring nightmares as the process fails to take place normally.
Finally, as with all aspects of His Creation, God is able to use dreams to achieve His purposes. This is very rare, so much so that cases have been carefully recorded in the Scriptures, as with other miracles.
