What does the bible mean in Colossians 3:1-2 by "looking for the things that are above"?
Colossians 3:1 - 2
ESV - 1 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.

The things we need to seek are heavenly things . Heaven and earth will pass away but my word will last forever. God's word tells us to focus on seeking the kingdom of God first. The things that are above are internal things.
