Is it scriptural for the Jehovah's Witness to reject taking communion as the vast majority of their members do?

Jesus said to " do this in Remembrance of me" and by not participating they are not following Jesus' clear instructions. I believe that it is the Christian's duty to participate in communion if possible. But also communion is not necessarily a law it more of a duty
