What is the relationship between the spiritual gifts of 'a message of wisdom' and 'distinguishing between spirits'?
To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. (1 Corinthians 12:8, 10 NIV)

Hi, if you look at the NKJV you will see it more clearly. I Corinthians 12:8, 10 NKJV for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. "Word of Wisdom" is a Spirit given ability to discern God's Word in your Spirit, in other words God will give you a word of wisdom for a brother, sister or for a situation. "Discerning of Spirits" is a Spirit given ability to recognize if it's the Holy Spirit within an individual or is it another spirit. So you will be able to tell what kind of spirit works within an individual. Feel free to correct me anyone :D Thank you.
