The answer is YES. The AntiChrist will come from a Muslim nation which was once considered a Roman Catholic nation during the time of Apostle Paul. The future Antichrist is called the 'King of the North' in the book of Daniel. ✿ Dan. 11:36-- Dan. 12:13 definitely identifies the Antichrist as the king of the north (Syria) at the time of the end. The whole purpose of this vision was to show "what shall befall thy people (Israel) in the latter days" (Dan. 10:14) under the last Syrian king who is foreshadowed by Antiochus Epiphanes (Dan. 11:21- 34), and to narrow down the coming of Antichrist geographically, from the 4 divisions of Grecia to one-- the Syrian division. ✿ The visions of Dan. 2 and Dan. 7 were given to show the formation of 10 kingdoms inside the old Roman Empire and reveal that the Antichrist would come out of one of these 10 kingdoms and lead these nations against Christ at His second coming. The purpose of Dan. 8 was to give additional information to that of Dan. 2 and Dan. 7-- to narrow down the coming of Antichrist geographically, from the 10 kingdoms to the 4 divisions of the Grecian Empire which will make up 4 of the 10 kingdoms of the Revised Roman Empire before Antichrist comes. Even though Syria is now a Muslim nation, it was once considered a Roman Catholic nation. Apostle Paul was met by Jesus on his way to Damascus, Syria. ✿ The purpose of the last vision (Dan. 10:1-- Dan. 12:13) was to narrow down the coming of Antichrist geographically, from the 4 divisions of the Grecian Empire to one of these divisons, the Syrian, and complete the visions of Daniel concerning the last days and the reign of the Messiah. Dan. 11:35-- Dan. 12:13 gives the third and last description of the Antichrist in Daniel. The Little Horn, King of the North, the Man of Sin, and the Beast of Revelation Are the Same-- The Future Antichrist: 1. All do according to their will (Dan. 11: 36 with Dan. 7: 25; 8: 24; 2Th. 2: 10- 12 Rev. 13: 5- 7). 2. All exalt themselves " above every god" (Dan. 11: 36, 37 with Dan. 7: 25; 8: 25; 2Th. 2: 4; Rev. 13). 3. All " speak marvelous things against the God of gods" (Dan. 11: 36 with Dan. 7: 8, 11, 20, 25; Rev. 13: 1- 7 2Th. 2: 4). 4. Yes, the John 1 test is most important. We must test every spirit to see if it is from God. The spirit of the Antichrist will deny the Father and the Son. In Islam, the worst crime one can commit, worse than murder, is 'shirk'. This is the crime of attributing a son to Allah. So I think that Islam is the only real place the Antichrist can come. Some say that the Antichrist will come from the Catholic Church. But, how can this be? The Catholic Church worship God the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. In the end, only God truly knows. But we must be discerning when we look at all prophecy.

The antichrist is only mentioned in the small books of 1st, 2nd & 3rd John. There is no mention of an actual singular antichrist in the book of revelation. It is quite clear from the Bible that anyone who denies Christ as God coming in the flesh - is the antichrist.

To begin with, an anti-Christ is an adversary. And the ultimate adversary is Satan. 1 Peter 5:8 - Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Revelation 12:9 - And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Also, an adversary can be smart and be an antitype, a fitting substitute to the real one. In fact, the end times antichrist that comes onto the scene prior to the second coming of Christ, will be a man who will sit in the Temple and institute the Temple rituals. 2 Thes 2:3-4 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God" This man is described in Daniel 7:8,20,21,24,25..."I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them. And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time." These ten horns are ten kings and represent the ten toes of the image of Nebuchadnezzar described in Daniel 2. At the time of these ten horns/toes, a little horn will appear and "pluck out" 3 of the 10, leaving 7 horns, and this is the 8th and was the 7th beast. From the preceding, it appears that it does not matter whether the "man of sin", the "end-time beast" is a Muslim or not. Rather, whether the man fits all the descriptions. The particular religion, beware, may just be a facade, a "right of passage."

The only place the word 'antichrist' is used in scripture is in one of the epistles of the apostle John. John identifies the antichrists as many, and that they resided in the the first century (His day), and could be expressly identified as those denying that Jesus is God. So understanding this, that antichrists are already here and have been since the first century, they can be anyone, especially Muslims who deny that Jesus is God. However, the common idea of the last evil antagonist on the earth endowed with all the power of satan whose appearance signals the end of the world, and the return of Christ who defeats him is pure concoction and myth. Scripture does not support this fantasy; especially the book of Revelation. Satan has no power that even gets close doing the things that the mythical antichrist is said to be able to do; his only power is tempting weak believers away from God by myths and lies.

In my opinion, the answer is no. One thing that is expressly mentioned as part of the second coming of Christ is that he will personally slay the final antichrist (2 Thes 2:8). This is important because the antichrist is not described as a normal human being. The final antichrist will claim to be God (2 Thess 2:4) while sitting in the temple of God. No Muslim will ever claim to be Allah or any other name of God and expect to be believed by other Muslims. Of course, anyone for the last two thousand years who refuses to believe Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, as the true Messiah, has the antichrist spirit and can be called a precursor of the final antichrist. The final antichrist is one of the most mysterious personages in the bible - less is specifically recorded about him in the New Testament than even Melchizedek. The false prophet of Rev 13:12-15 is not necessarily the final antichrist because he directs people to worship the 10-horned beast, not himself as the true God. With all his extreme satanic powers, there is no real reason to believe he will be born and grow up like a normal human being. It is more likely he will appear on earth as an adult, in a similar manner to the two angels of Gen 10:1, but as an angel of the devil, not God. Killing him will be impossible until Christ does it himself. In our era with all its talk about aliens and their advanced technology able to do seemingly miraculous things, this idea is not without merit. Unfortunately,the Jewish religion has prophecies about the Messiah, but there is no specific concept of an anti-Messiah within the Jewish religion. This is why the final anti-Christ of the New Testament is not found within the Old Testament. A new beast is needed, the beast arising from the earth (Rev 13:11-15) which is the kingdom of the final antichrist and his immediate predecessors, such as the false prophet.

Daniel 11 speaks of the king of the North, and some Biblical scholars believe this character to the Antichrist and of the Seleucid Dynasty. If this is the Seleucid King of the North, the capital city was in Turkey. Like Rome, Istanbul used to be the capital of the Eastern Roman Empire. Istanbul, like Rome, has seven hills (better interpretation of the Greek than mountains.)

I would say yes, Islam is anti Christ. 1Jn 4:3 says, "and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is from God. This is the spirit of the anti-Christ which you heard was coming and is in the world already". Any person or religion that does not acknowledge the lordship of Jesus is anti Christ. Islam does not acknowledge the lordship of Christ and therefore falls into that category squarely.
