From my point of view; in order to be a Christian nation all the people of that nation must be Christian and the only nation I can think of is The Vatican. Another word for Catholic is Christian. Also the bible warns believers not to make a name for ourselves. Christian was first used as a means of verbal attack on true believers. But I know what you mean; is the United States a believers nation? Absolutely not! Even Israel is far from being a believers nation! Ever nation has more then one religion. That's my point of view.

I find it strange that all the people in a nation have to be Christian in order for that country to be called a Christian nation. Israel is is a Jewish nation, yet not all the people in Israel is Jewish. The Vatican might be all Catholic, but I am sure that not all the Catholics in the Vatican are Chistian. America has never been a Christian nation as we had people from all over plus Native groups that were not Christian. I believe that most of the immigrants that came to this country in the Founder stage with laws and ideas based on the Bible were Christians and based our laws and Ideas and way of thought in
that religion.
Still, based on all I know of the religions of the world and what the majority of people believe about about their countries religions, I would have to say that "Yes" we are still a Christian Nation, but I don't know for how long. Other groups, different ways of thoughts, customs and people that do not have the value of religion like our fore fathers are coming in, making their present felt and changing the Laws etc...which are not based on the Bible. Some bring their own gods. Also, the current people in America have changed their thoughts about God, they don't need God as their ancestors did, so they don't depend on Him as the past Generations.
I believe that when the Rapture takes place, not only the United States, but the whole world will be Christianless, until the 144,000 Jews, 12,000 from every tribe, whom will be powered by God, the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob (Whom 12 sons became Israel) evangelize more people than ever before. Still, the true Christians that will be Raptured will not be just some people of the Christian denominations, which includes the Catholic church, but all that have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and follow Him from every other religion and all countries of the world.

How many of God's obedient followers were saved from the great flood? How many were saved from the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah? How many were saved once Jericho's walls fell? How many Israelites were destroyed by God for disobedience during the Exodus? How many Jews have lost their inheritance due to their unbelief in Jesus Christ? I am asking each of you; are you calling yourself a Christian? Are you trying to imitate Christ and obey His commands? Luke 13:24, "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. This statement applies to Christians only, The saying that "History repeats itself" is very true. Are you making every effort? Look at the world around us and realize just how many Christians are making no effort at all. The god of this world has most of us right where he wants us; damned to Hell.
