Everyone seeks freedom. Especially in the West, freedom is the highest virtue, and it is sought after by all who are, or consider themselves to be, oppressed. But freedom in Christ is not the same ...
For me, I have found that the secret to a victorious Christian life is embodied in these words, "I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless, I live. Yet, not I, but Christ lives in me. This life I live in the body I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." Gal. 2:20 (KJV). When we make a decision to accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, a mighty miracle takes place. Our spirits - that part of us that can have a relationship with God, our Creator - Once dead in trespasses and sin.... wakes up! Jesus - in that moment - comes to live in our hearts. And when we get up off our knees we are a new creation in Christ for we have truly been "born again!" This is what gives us the freedom to experience true freedom in Christ.
