Is someone a born again Christian if they say they’ve “always loved Jesus" instead of “receiving Jesus as their Lord and Savior “?

I grew up in a Christian church that used the words “You need to receive Jesus as your Lord & Savior". Now I have gotten to know 2 people who say they’ve “always loved Jesus." Are they going to be in Heaven with me?

John 3:16

NKJV - ¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
