Will everyone who accepts Jesus as their Savior be saved?

John 3:16 - 18

ESV - 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Yes, all that accept and all that believe. Acts 16: 30-31 He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” and Romans 10:13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Yes! If accepting Jesus (Yoshua) means you accept His WORD and the Father who sent Him.

John 5:24: “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life."

To believe in the Son of GOD is to accept His message. His message was one of obedience to the Father's WORD. For it is through the WORD of the Father we are re-born as James tells us.

James 1:18-25: He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created. 19 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. 21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. 22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

So all who walk in obedience to the WORD of the Father are saved; Yoshua is the WORD of the Father. He is the Way the Truth and the Life.

God didn't ask Abraham if he wanted Him to make of him (Abraham) a great nation. He said to Abraham, 'I'm going to make of you a great nation; I'm going to bless you.' (Genesis 12:2)

God didn't ask Moses if he wanted to be sent to Egypt to confront the Pharoah and challenge him to let the Isralites go free. He said to Moses, 'I'm sending you to Pharoah that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.' (Exodus 3:10)

None of the Judges whom God brought to power to lead the children of Israel after the death of Joshua were questioned as to whether they wanted to serve God. The first was Othniel, Caleb's younger brother. Judges 3:10 reads, "The Spirit of the Lord was upon him, and he judged Israel. He went out to war, and the Lord gave Cushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand." (Back up a few verses, and we read), "The anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and He sold them into the hand of Cushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia." (vs 8) God doesn't ask anyone for permission to do anything He chooses to do! He sold them, and then He rescued them!

God called Samuel when Samuel was a young child. His mother took him to minister to the Lord in the presence of Eli the priest. She said she "lent" Samuel to the Lord for as long as he lives. (1 Samuel 1) Samuel had no choice in the matter, is my point.

God sent Samuel to anoint one of Jesse's sons to be king when Saul's reign as king would be over. Samuel saw Jesse's elder son Eliab and thought, "Surely the Lord's anointed is before Him." But the Lord said to Samuel, "Don't look on his appearance or his stature... the Lord doesn't see as man sees." God chose David instead. (1 Samuel 16) There was no test given to any of Jesse's sons to see which one qualified to be king. Neither was either of them asked if he wanted to serve.

Jesus didn't interview any of the twelve disciples whom He called. While walking by the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fisherman. And He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." (Matthew 4:18, 19)

I think the confusion is caused by some of the teachings of Scripture. Jesus asked a man who had been an invalid for thirty-eight years, "Do you want to be healed?" (John 5:6). The man never responded 'yes' or 'no.' Jesus said to Him, "Get up, take up your bed and walk." (vs 8)

Asking a person if he wants to be healed isn't asking him if he wants to dedicate the rest of his life to serving God.

Saul wasn't asked if he would agree to become Paul. He was going about his daily routine of persecuting the Church when he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven shone around him. "Saul, why are you persecuting Me?... I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. But rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do." (Acts 9:1 - 6) He does. God then sends a man named Ananias to Saul. He told Ananias, "Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine to carry My name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel. For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of My name."

Jesus doesn't make us an offer to be our Savior and then wait for us to accept the offer. We must be born again.
"The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound, but you don't know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit" (John 3:8).

God is sovereign. He proved it to a proud king Nebuchadnezzar, who proclaimed after he had been humbled by God: "All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and He (God) does according to His will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can say to Him, "What have you done?" (Daniel 4:35)

God doesn't get approval for anything He wants to do! I'm saved because He chose to start a relationship with me.
He who began a good work in me will bring it to completion. Phil 1:6
