Just as a potter shapes clay, God uses every circumstance, both good and bad, to mold us into His image and fulfill His good plans for our lives.

Our lives are not controlled by chance, but are under God's divine control, which gives meaning and purpose to our experiences.

Our willing response to God's control can maximize its benefit for us.

Jeremiah 18:6: O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as the potter? Saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

Right from the time of the creation of mankind, God the Father, who was and is the Potter today, we, being born from the dust of the ground, have been reshaped when we go astray. For whosoever humbles themselves as a little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. (Mat 18:3-4) God the Father has then given authority over our lives to reshape us, through His Son, our Lord Jesus, when we go astray. He who is a Potter, who was and is the Angel of the Lord God from creation time. From the time of Abraham, as the scriptures reveal to us, God the Father tested Abraham, leading him into His hand, who is and was the Angel of the Lord, the Potter. The Angel of the Lord then said, “By Myself have I sworn, saith the Lord.” In blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed, for thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies. (Gen 22:1,11-12,15-17)

The Potter, who was sent to reshape us, our Lord Jesus, we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, who are called according to His purpose. (Rom 8:28) The Potter, the Son of man, has not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. For the Spirit beareth witness with our spirit that we are children of God, the clay in His hands, who maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. (Lk 9:56/Rom 8:16,26) The Potter then has power over the clay, that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had afore prepared unto glory. (Ro 9:21,23) Therefore, be led by pastors (shepherds) who feed you with knowledge of understanding. For there are pastors (shepherds) who are brutish, who have not sought the Lord and have scattered their flocks. The Lord searches the heart and tries the reins, to give every man according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings. (Jer 3:15,10:21,17:10)

Today, one needs to be cautious of pastors (shepherds) who scatter their flocks. For there was a Pharisee who desired the Lord Jesus to come to his house and eat with him, and he went into the Pharisee’s house. There was a woman in that city who knew Lord Jesus, who sat at the table in the home of the Pharisee, Simon. She brought ointment and sat behind near His feet, weeping with tears that poured over His feet and wiped with her hair. She then kissed His feet and anointed His feet with the ointment that she brought. For the woman being the clay in the Potter's hand, the Pharisee failed to discern, for the thoughts came into his mind. If the man, Lord Jesus, is a Prophet, He would have known what manner of woman touched His feet. The Pharisee, Simon, and those who sat with the Lord Jesus, began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? For they failed to discern that she was the clay in Potter’s hand, by grace, reshaped by faith, and saved to go in peace. (Luk 7:36-39,49-50/Rom 5:20-21)

Revelation 2:26-27: And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with rod of iron as the “vessels of a potter” shall they be broken to shivers: “Even as I received of my Father.”
