The first thing that happened to me personally was my favorite four letter word in every sentence ceased immediately. Proverbs 18:21 Life and death are in the power of the tongue and a man who tames it shall eat of the fruit of it.

The secound thing that happened to me was that I wanted to read and study God's word as if or more than I did going to college and I had a 3.5 in college. Hosea 4:6 My people parish because of a lack of knowledge.

The third thing was I wanted to please, love and obey my savior. I learned that love drives you to desire to abolish sin in your life. It by no means mean that you will ever be perfect but you progressively change seamingly overnight but in reality change become a life time norm. John 14:23 Those that Love me obey me.

They call it sactification. God's word becomes your moral compass. God's word becomes wisdom and knowledge that helps you discerned good and evil in you and others behavior. John 17:17 Sactify them by thy truth thy word is truth.

The holy spirit becomes your life long counselor. You are suddenly indowled with a sixed sense. Sanctify them by thy truth thy word is truth. John 17:17 becomes a reality in your life. But without this hunger and zeal to study and learn God's word from cover to cover. It will bring your downfall from the ultimate truth you could fully enjoy in your day to day life.

Hope this helps someone fall in love with the word, Jesus, God the Father and the Holy Spirit. They are one and they desire to be one in you.

Fourth, and last, I suddenly had the power to say 'no' to habitual sin and wanted to more and more.

For Christians, there should be outward visible evidence of the presence of Christ within them by their words and actions. As Jesus said, a tree is known by its fruit, and every good tree bears good fruit (Luke 6:44; Matthew 7:17).

However, I would say that the primary assurance that Christ dwells within those who have placed their faith in Him (rather than in their own works or righteousness) for their salvation is found in Scripture itself, in verses such as 2 Corinthians 13:5, Galatians 2:20; Ephesians 3:17; and Colossians 1:27.

There may be times when we as Christians do not especially "feel" the presence of Christ. This is a product not of Christ forsaking us, but of our own pulling away from Him through doubt or sin. (As a popular saying once put it, "If you feel farther away from God, guess who moved.") At such times, Christians need to examine themselves, confess any known actions or other impediments that may be hindering their fellowship with God, and then rely on God's promises as found in the Bible for assurance that Christ continues to dwell within them.

I think 1John 2 : 3 - 6 answers your question in a nutshell: "We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did."
