What’s the whole message behind this portion of Psalms 23:4? What does is mean that although we walk through the valley of death, we will not have to fear evil?
Psalms 23:1 - 6
AMP - 1 THE LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack. 2 He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
First John 2:2. John 6:47 First John 5:13. Death has no POWER over us because we will live forever in heaven.
John 1:12 But as many as received Him to them gave He power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on His name.
Colossians 3:3 We are dead and our life is hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 2:13 He has forgiven us ALL Trespasses.
Death is not so bad when you KNOW where you are going when you die. John 6:40. The GIFT of God is eternal life. Once we accept the free gift and are sealed by the Holy Spirit, Ephesians 1:13-14, we have everlasting life.
Ephesians 4:30. And grieve not the Holy Spirit in whom ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
We have eternal life now. We just have not passed from death unto life yet. John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on Him that sent me, HATH EVERLASTING LIFE, and shall not come into judgement, but is passed from death unto life.
Oh death where is thy sting? The Gift of God is eternal life. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved, through FAITH, and that not of yourselves, it is the GIFT of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. Romans 3:26-28.
Death is just passing to new life for us. Romans 1:16. Paul said it. Absent from the body, present with the Lord. Our soul/spirit goes straight to heaven whenever we die. John 3:18.
