Is the Covid-19 vaccine the mark of the beast?

17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Revelation 13:17

ESV - 17 So that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.

The Mark of the Beast will be unavailable to people who refuse to participate in worship of the Beast. (Rev13:15). So you won’t be allowed to get the mark if you don’t worship the image of the beast. Nothing like that is going on with any of the COVID vaccines, or with any other vaccine, or with driver’s licenses, or passports, or social security numbers, etc. No government or ruler is currently requiring idol worship to get any of those. So no, it is not the Mark of the Beast.

In my humble opinion the taking of the mark of the beast will consist of one knowing exactly what they are doing.

It will not be hidden in a vaccine or other item, but be a prominent, highly visible mark, one that causes the person to denounce their faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior.

Satan is prideful and wants to be able to say "Look at all of my followers.” Likewise, he wants them to come voluntarily as we Christians go to Jesus.

Not sure why answers start out with my opinion when we're supposed to put aside our opinions for scriptural fact. Fact is it's made very clear one will have to make a decision to reject Christ to follow the anti christ. I believe it's very clear that this mark will come AFTER the rapture. Unfortunately there are many who don't even believe in the rapture, never mind the timing of it. I think it is clear that it will happen before the tribulation, which is primarily to fulfill the last week of Daniel, called “Jacob's trouble.” This is a judgment primarily against Israel, although the world will be subject to it also. The mark of the beast is to consciously follow the antichrist.

Now here is where my OPINION comes in: I believe that the vaccinations could be a test run or some kind of experiment meant to see how we respond to world control and to end national sovereignty. Some kind of precursor to the mark, if you will. I think even the most skeptic person senses something is going on in the world today and they may be using covid to advance their plan to what they call a New World Order. Again, that's my opinion. I could be totally wrong. As far as the vaccine itself being the mark of the beast? Absolutely not, and I believe it's unscriptual to give an opinion in place of biblical doctrine. I'm all for opinion if it doesn't contradict scripture. God Bless.

I humbly submit my opinion that in and of itself NO.
But it is one more spiritual step from the lab coat prophets toward that future prophecy. Simply stated the fearful don't see this simple truth; first comes the benign weakness of the mind, then the soft coercion and capitulation to foreign gods, and then the final prostration with mark.
(Amos 7:15; Acts 24:5)

The Principle Of Sowing And Reaping
The Holocaust came to pass after it's seeds were planted in 1916 when Madison Grant a relative of DARWIN published "The Passing of the Great Race" which would become a guiding light in the mind of an unknown little person. Later he included whole sections of Grant’s book calling it "my Bible” in his own 1925 book, Mein Kampf. What Grant had called the Nordic race, Adolf Hitler called the Aryan race. (Ezekiel 33:6)

Many today are dismissive of this simple Bible principle and may later windup weeping. Question why are free citizens coerced or not permitted to freely consider for themselves any planting and just what their future harvests might be or birth? (Acts 26:22; Galatians 4:16)

Many church folks have disregarded the final Bible book Revelation because of this or that reason. But it is so important because it's the only book that begins by blessing it's reader (Revelation 1:3) and then ends cursing anyone who changes it's words (Revelation 22:18-19)
And the "SOD" hidden deep treasure in between comes from the MASTER HIMSELF, endeavor friend. (Hosea 4:6; 1 Timothy 6:20)

No. The Covid-19 vaccine is not the mark of the beast but forerunner of it.

The mark of the beast can not happen until the church is raptured to heaven. First Corinthians 15:51-53 and First Thessalonians 4:13-18. Second Thessalonians 2:1-4. The falling away is the departure from earth to heaven. Then the son of perdition shall be revealed.

The rapture of the church comes before the 7 year tribulation. We will not even know who the anti-Christ is.

All believers John 6:47, will be taken out before the time of Jacobs trouble. The tribulation is for the Jews who rejected Jesus as their Messiah. Revelation 7. There will be 12,000 Jews saved from each tribe during the tribulation and so many Gentiles that no man can number.

So the mark of the beast can not be received until the church, the body of Christ is taken to heaven.

The GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23. The GIFT of God is eternal life. All those that have received the free gift by faith alone will go in the rapture of the church. John 6:40. Ephesians 1:13-14 and Ephesians 4:30 Our guarantee of eternal life. John 3:18.

Only unbelievers will go into the 7 year tribulation period. The mark of the beast will not be given before the rapture of the church.

But the vaccine is like the mark of the beast in that many places of business are now requiring there employees to get the vaccine or lose their job. Those in the medical profession are required to get the vaccine or lose their job.

Many have already left their job rather than be forced to take the vaccine.

The truth is, no one knows what the vaccine effects are after a few years. There has never been any thing like it before and we have no knowledge of the effects 2 or 3 years from now.

If should be a personal choice. No one should have to lose their job for not getting the vaccine.

Well no and yes... No it is not the mark of the beast referred to in the bible, but yes kind of, in that it is preconditioning for the masses to blindly follow the masses thinking they are doing a good thing and vilifying those who don't. No questions asked; people just line up without questioning anything.... So sad so many have died and suffered.

In a word, no. But for the nuanced answer...I think it can definitely show a lack of faith in Jesus to erroneously trust men and trust their works for the salvation of this earthly life when we know only the indwelling Spirit can save us (Lk 17:33, Rom 8:11).

The mark of the Beast may very well be a physical mark, but more and more I've come to believe that maybe Scripture means a character trait by "the mark of..." We often say "the mark of a great man is..." xyz character trait. I offer some evidence by pointing out the chosen are sealed for redemption by the Holy Spirit and this is not a physical sign, but a deposit of the HS into our lives, quickening our own spirits (Eph 1:14, 4:30, 2 Cor 1:22, 5:5).

Satan's most obvious character trait is that he lies. He is called a liar, the father of lies, lying since the beginning. He masquerades as an angel of light and even is called the morning star (when Jesus is called the Bright Morning Star in Revelation) (John 8:44, 2 Cor 11:44, Isaiah 14:12 vs. Rev 22:16). He wants authority and dominion over us and that's why he led an insurrection against God in heaven (Jude 1:6)

If his character--his mark--is that he lies, he perverts, causes fear, chaos and confusion to feign authority over men, could it be that when we believe his lies, when we trust him, we adopt his character traits, becoming marked? We can only be the child of one father: either of God or of Satan (1 John 3:9-10, 5:19). When we lend credence to lies told by Satan through men or "science" or culture, or "my truth"/experience, and give all our affection/attention/time to these lies, we have chosen a different god, and called The One True God a liar.

I believe what Scripture reveals is that the appropriate mark is given to all people: the Seal of the Holy Spirit on the children of God, the mark of the beast on everyone else who has made other gods before God.

So no, I don't believe the vaccine is the mark, but the spirit behind mandating it else we cannot buy/sell/trade in the public square might be...

Deuteronomy 32:39: “See now that I, I AM HE, and there is no god besides me; it is I who put to death and give life. I have wounded and it is I who heal, and there is no one who can deliver from my hand." God will save all who've been sealed, vaccine or not.

The prophesy about the Mark of Beast (666) and the antichrist will be revealed only to believers who will living in 7 years of Tribulation. Presently we are living in an era called “age of grace”, this time period in which we all feel the presence of holy spirit. This age of grace specifically started at the time of “pentecostal day” and will end at the “day of rapture”. Whoever lives in this grace period will never face the antichrist or Tribulation.

Wisdom to know the antichrist – it is so simple: Proverbs 9:10: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” Whoever has this sense (wisdom) at the time of Tribulation will never worship or endorse the antichrist. The sign on the forehead means mental support or endorsement, like social/philosophical platforms. A sign on the hand means people kill or harm others on behalf of the antichrist. The anti-Christ is nothing, Satan in human form, a Nephilim. How God became flesh and blood in Jesus is the same way Satan become flesh and blood through the antichrist.

So Corona is a plague, not a mark, and the vaccine is also not a mark! We know because Christians and the presence of the Holy Spirit are still among the population of world. The mark of the antichrist will only appear after the rapture!

I don’t believe that the vaccine can be the mark of the beast because the next biblical event that is to happen to the saved members of the body of Christ is the “catching up” or rapture. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 describes those who are in Christ being taken up into heaven, and those who are left on earth face the 7 year tribulation, in which the mark of the beast comes in to play. The mark of the beast cannot happen until the rapture occurs.

I honestly think it is not. The reason I believe it is not, the church hasn’t been raptured (snatched away) yet.

Me, I believe they are just being programmed to take the mark through this insistence that we all get vaccinated.

When the rapture happens, those left behind, the unsaved, will GLADLY take the mark of the beast without question….. you know… because it is best for society in general.

The vaccine is not the mark of the beast. Neither is it some kind of forerunner of the beginning of the "last days." The last days started with the ascension of Jesus Christ and will continue until He comes again. Too many times, ignorance has proclaimed the end times and we are still waiting. When it comes, all we have to worry about is whether or not we are "right with the Lord." I'm confident in my destiny and pray everyone else is too.

I am retired and experienced the polio pandemic of the 1930's through the 1950's. On my street alone, growing up in a suburb of Los Angeles, there were 6 children in iron lungs. Three of them died and the others were crippled. When the time came for all school children to take that little sugar cube, not one person, NO ONE, proclaimed that they didn't want to take this preventative. Many were dying and that little sugar cube stopped the spread. When is the last time you heard of anyone getting polio in this country. Same with the smallpox vaccine. Were those masses following the government blindly? You bet! But they saw the effects of this horrible disease and went along because of trust. Trust that their government had their best interest at heart.

Unfortunately, many believe that this vaccine is worse than the disease and that some kind of evil is fueling the tearing away of their personal freedoms. Conspiracy theories abound. There are too many who have been quite vocal about their anti-vaccine campaigns and have changed their tune once they got the virus. Many of those have died. Should it take a death to change the minds of the skeptics? I guess so. But it doesn't seem to change many other nay-sayers.

Our country has survived for more than 200 years because of the trust we had in our federal government. Distrust is rampant today and that is very sad. Are governments infallible? Heavens no. But if we cannot trust that our government is at least trying to work on our behalf, then we, as a nation, are in trouble. And, believe me, we are in big trouble.

The sad fact is, distrust of our government and science is letting the virus run rampant and too many more will die. Would Jesus recommend the vaccine? I believe so.

No, it isn't the mark of the beast. Nave's Topical Bible has this:

Beast, the Mark [NAVE]
BEAST, THE MARK
Rev. 13:16, 17; 14:9, 11; 16:2; 19:20; 20:4

There is no mention of the Covid virus in any of these passages. The mark must be taken willingly, as Louis said.
