Sexual Immorality is the broad term used in the bible to describe a host of sexual sins, which includes, fornication, adultery, homosexual sex (sodomy), orgies (group sex), and sex with animals.

In the case of sex with a prostitute, the bible calls that fornication.

Jesus said:
"But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality [fornication], theft, false testimony, slander" (Matthew 15:18-19).

Paul said:
"Flee from sexual immorality [prostitutes]. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies" (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).

Also, immediately prior to the words from 1 Corinthians 6 cited by Grant Abbott, Paul asks in verse 15, "Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ Himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never!"

When I was in high school and playing varsity baseball, some of my teammates had gone to a "Red Light District" in Nogales, Mexico, right across the border from our southern Arizona town, Scottsdale (driving time is 2 hours, 49 minutes.) They came back and told the whole team on the baseball practice field about their sexual encounters with the prostitutes.

Admittedly, as a sophomore, before becoming a Christian, hormones were raging in my body, and I would have loved to join them. But I must have known it was wrong from "Thou shalt not commit adultery" which I knew was in the Bible (Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 5).

Also, I must have had heard about fornication being displeasing to God.
