I'm sure that a woman might be able to provide a more personal or appropriate perspective on this question, and the example that comes first to my mind is an "in-law" relationship (rather than one arising from birth), but, to me, the interaction between Naomi and her daughter-in-law Ruth (as told in Ruth 1-4) portrays a Biblical ideal of unselfishness, mutual love, and respect that should characterize mother-daughter dealings, as well as being one that ended up profoundly influencing the history of Israel (and also the entire world) through Ruth's descendants (including David and Jesus), despite the fact that Ruth was a Moabite by birth, rather an Israelite.
