Why do most Christians not keep the Sabbath by setting aside one day a week to focus on their spiritual growth?

How can we, as Christians, expect to become spiritually mature and complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work, when we won't invest in our spiritual growth and make it a top priority?

Acts 13:42 - 48

ESV - 42 As they went out, the people begged that these things might be told them the next Sabbath. 43 And after the meeting of the synagogue broke up, many Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who, as they spoke with them, urged them to continue in the grace of God.

I would like to say, that the Scripture verses that you have referenced gives an account of Paul sharing the Gospel with many Jews and devout converts to Judaism. As Jews it was their custom to go to the Synagogue on the Sabbath.

As Christians we do not observe the Sabbath as the Jews did, however, we have been instructed to assemble ourselves together as a community of believers in Christ Jesus.

I believe that many who profess faith in Christ are stagnant, and are carnally minded. Their minds are on the pleasures of the flesh, which prevents them from becoming spiritually minded and growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18

It is impossible to grow without having a hunger for the Bread of Life, and a thirst for the Living Water! I believe that this is what's lacking in the lives of many Christians and it is unfortunate, because they are missing out on having a deep and meaningful relationship with Christ through the Person of the Holy Spirit.
