Let’s consider these verses from Revelation 18:
Verse 3
For all nations have drunk the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich from the power of her luxurious living.”
Verse 9
And the kings of the earth, who committed sexual immorality and lived in luxury with her, will weep and wail over her when they see the smoke of her burning.
Verse 11
And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn for her, since no one buys their cargo anymore
Verse 17-18
And all shipmasters and seafaring men, sailors and all whose trade is on the sea, stood far off and cried out as they saw the smoke of her burning,

None of these verses have anything to do with a false religious system. But, they fit perfectly if we propose the Babylon is the most power economic system our world has ever seen - CAPITALISM.
In this ideology, people prostitute themselves for MONEY - the most powerful idol in our world. Capitalism entices is with greed to make all the money we can, then goads us with the thrill of spending all of it on every pleasure imaginable.

Capitalism has exploded in the last 100 years and so has blatant sexual immorality.

The kings of the earth would be shocked and devastated if capitalism collapsed in an hour (a very short time). The whole world nearly collapsed during the financial crisis of 2008-2009.

Let’s be open to the Spirit’s leading to consider fresh perspectives.
