I would say that Christians should be supportive of the right of individuals to
peacefully protest the conduct of the police, and should also advocate for
the prosecution of any police misconduct through established legal channels and procedures.

However, they should also condemn violent or illegal acts by those same protestors, as well as supporting the rights of any individual (either among the protestors or police) to a presumption of innocence pending trial, and also the conduct of due legal process in determining any of the individuals' legal guilt or innocence.

They should also strive to do all that is within their power or control to promote overall respect for both law and order and individual rights and freedoms by everyone.

I humbly submit for your consideration an opinion. The realty currently playing out on various public squares across our little sphere, was fore told. (Ecclesiastes 3:1; Ecclesiastes 3:7; Matthew 24:12)

Consider for just a moment that most of the mischievous mantras put forth as FACTUAL by temporal powers; could in fact be the works of the prince of the power of the air, deceptions. (Psalms 108:13; Psalms 149:6; Matthew 24:4; Mark 13:5)

One can't help but notice that once again the ONLY ACCEPTABLE position on this new kabuki theatre crisis is JUST LIKE THEIR LAST ONE in that whatever is put fore by their self annotated oracles and lesser singing choir traveling companions. This latest cookie cutter juggernaut operates on the same emotional characteristics that pit humans against each other with fearful dubious assertions. Add into this mix the standard group of faculty lounge EXPERTS that demand silent capitulation on their altars to make amends for your transgression. By giving them the power to place their heavy boot and then yoke upon your neck. (Matthew 24:9; 2 Corinthians 11:14) 

I remember that just last week in many of these blue state utopias there were threats or arrests of pastors and church folk for not following their secular bureaucratic diktats. And now all those ole manufactured fears are so passe it seems, as they continue on this new forced march. Christian and other sanctuaries of faiths sit empty as worship was declared nonessential and thus been placed outside the cultural camp much as lepers have been in the past or present. Understand that once a State considers certain elements of it's society as NONESSENTIAL or as CONTAMINATING. Surely as night follows day, purges and pogroms will eventually come their way friend. (Galatians 4:16)

The problem with being silent and not standing for good or your own inalienable rights; is that it becomes so much easier not standing for those unknown weaker among us. And we were reborn, but left in place here to shine and fight the evils present, not compromise with them in our silence. Evil and it's darkness will always sense any weakness and thus seize its moment in a time of chaos and confusion wherein lays its greatest chance for victory. 

Bottom line: Do you STAND and deliver or do you take a knee and surrender...
As the landscape will be occupied by either the moral or amoral, whose ideas - laws you will be forced to obey. And every evil that transpires here will affect everyone in ways unknown or cared about by the amoral who may well wield the limitless power of a nation, because the moral have forsaken their civic responsibilities. And surprisingly many in fear, do just as they're told without a word spoken. (Mark 10:42; Mark 10:43; Luke 16:8; 2 Corinthians 10:5; 2 Corinthians 11:4)

First Thessalonians 4:13-18 Comfort one another with these words: We are about to be raptured out so the Antichrist can take over. Everything is in place. 

Maybe this year or next year, but it has to be soon. Israel became a nation in one day 72 years ago. This generation shall not pass away till all is fulfilled. Things are happening so fast no one can keep up. Anarchy will rise. Chaos will continue. People will starve.

Police brutality is a sure sign of systemic racism in a culture. When police deal differently with people because of their ethnicity, skin colour, economic status, past experience with the law, etc., they are being biased, prejudiced and discriminating, by not treating every person with the respect they deserve and the rights they are entitled to. As Christians we need to be praying for our local police forces and the governmental leaders who oversee them. Pray for justice and righteousness to be the foundation for law and order in our society. Pray for protection for the police from harm and danger as they have a difficult job to do. We also need to be lobbying our local politicians to ensure that police policies and procedures respect and fairly treat all people in our communities. Things like racial profiling, life threatening detention holds, shoot first – talk second, need to be removed from the police procedure manual.

For us Christians, equally important is our own self examination to see if we are harbouring any attitudes, beliefs, and behaviours that are also biased, prejudiced, discriminatory and racist. We need to root out all such attitudes and conduct with the help of the Holy Spirit. There is no place in the kingdom of God for such attitudes and actions. Paul said it so well in Galations 3:27—28 “For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male or female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” We are all equal in the kingdom of God.

It is not enough that we purge ourselves of all racist conduct. As Christians, we must also become actively anti-racist. We need to seek out people in our circles of influence who are suffering the effects of racism and come alongside them to help, not with a savior complex, but with a genuine desire to be of service, as they request and need it. We need to encourage these people in their fight against racism by standing with them, in the protest line, and in their daily lives. Paul gave us a great example to follow in the book of Philemon. Paul had led Philemon to faith in Jesus,. Sometime later Paul met Onesimus and also led him to Christ. As it turns out, Onesimus was a slave who had runaway from Philemon. In this beautiful book of support, encouragement and reconciliation, Paul writes to Philemon asking (even pleading) with him to accept Onesimus back, not as a slave to be punished, but as a free man, a servant for hire, and a brother in Christ. 

I hope we are challenged and inspired by the truth and example of scripture, so we too can become God’s agents to bring justice, righteousness and equality for every person we are privileged to minister to. This is how we will become a beacon of light in a dark world filled with bias, prejudice and discrimination. Sacrificial love like this opens many doors for the gospel message of Jesus Christ.

I think the church should be the loudest voice when it comes to standing against things like racism and injustice. Sadly, many churches have been silent on the issue which has caused an alienation or division between parishioners.

We as Christians have to stand up and let our voices be heard when it comes to social issues. It can't just be about same sex marriages and abortion. If we are to take a stand against evil then we have to take a stand against ALL forms of evil and prejudices, socially as well as in our own lives.

I see no issue with a christian participating in a PEACEFUL protest. Peaceful protests (based on biblical theology) was at the heart of the Civil Rights movement where people were demanding equality and justice and set out to achieve those goals through peaceful means.
