Let’s take a look at what the bible tells us about plagues (like coronavirus) and demonic activity.

First, we read about demonic activity in the book of Job. God allows Satan to torment Job by destroying his material wealth, his family, his friendships, his health, virtually everything except his life. But through it all Job never curses God because his faith was unshakable. Through these events we learn that Satan has power to torment and destroy anything that God gives him permission to do.

When we read about the journey of the Israelites in the book of Exodus we see several examples of God unleashing various calamities into the community including plagues. There is no mention in these events of any Satanic activity. God is the one punishing evil and disciplining his people.

In my view, it really doesn’t matter whether the calamity is caused by Satanic forces or directly by God.

The most important question is to understand why God allows these calamities to happen. The bible is full of stories involving calamities affecting people. The bible teaching on these things is clear. God sends calamities to punish evil. God sends calamities to discipline his people (those called to inherit his salvation) because they have wandered away from a close personal relationship with God. This correction is intended to turn his people around and draw them back to himself.

Let’s examine what affects the corona virus has on people:
1) they lose their health and even die
2) they lose their jobs and source of income
3) they lose their wealth due to stock market crash
4) they lose physical connection to their families, friends, and church community
5) they are isolated and home alone
6) they are alone and afraid

God now has our attention. So what will we do. Will we curse God for taking away all these things. Or, will we draw near to God, calling out to him in prayer and feeding our faith from his words in the bible. Will we honestly ask God how each of us has strayed from our pure, sincere and passionate devotion to living a God pleasing life? Will we confess, repent and turn back to God?

The bible says that Jesus will purify his church before he returns. Purification in the bible often happens through the fire of calamity. I believe this is God’s primary purpose in allowing the coronavirus pandemic. To purify the church and get us back to our primary purpose. To share the gospel and rescue the lost so the banquet hall will be full when Jesus comes again to celebrate the marriage feast of the lamb. 

Let’s not focus on the cause of the pandemic but rather on how it will transform our lives to accomplish God’s will for each one of us. Then his kingdom will be fulfilled and Jesus will come back again.

Amen, come quickly Lord Jesus.

A very timely inquiry during these perilous times and I humbly submit an opinion for your consideration. Consider for just a moment that most of the mischievous mantras put forth as FACTUAL by temporal powers; could in fact be the works of the prince of the power of the air. (Psalms 108:13; Psalms 149:6)

Notice the ONLY ACCEPTABLE position on this new crises is JUST LIKE THEIR OTHER ONES whatever is put fore by their self annotated oracles aided by their lesser fellow traveling companions. This latest cookie cutter juggernaut operates on the same emotional characteristics via ever changing computer models that produce fearful dubious assertions. Mix in the standard group of faculty lounge commando EXPERTS. Demanding your total capitulation on their altars to save the forest - whales or even the earth itself by giving them the power to place their heavy yoke upon you.

I humbly submit and think it prudent that before we start swinging dead chickens over our heads or sacrificing the first born we calmly step back for a moment and ponder.
The words and wisdom of King Solomon (Ecclesiastes 3:15) so that we maybe able to find similar occurrences of our current crisis times. (Isaiah 41:10)

The Center For Disease Control CDC
2009-2010 H1N1 "swine flu" CDC estimates that there were approximately 60.8 million cases with some 274,304 hospitalizations and 12,469 deaths in the United States.

2017–2018 CDC estimates there were 45 million flu cases with 810,000 related hospitalizations. With 61,000 dead Americans the vast majority were seniors at 83%.

So let's be honest: these two FLU outbreaks received little or no news coverage at the time. So basically these contiguous deaths were a non event for the industrial media complex? But today they are the drivers of this world ending pandemic fear. Something has changed on our landscape, an election maybe? (2 Corinthians 11:13)

The CDC estimates we are approaching 500,000 confirmed Covid-19 cases with about 17,000 deaths. EXPERTS also tell us that 20% of these Covid-19 will require hospitalization which is about 100,000 hospitalizations. A far smaller number than the prior flu hospitalizations of 810,000 and a much smaller death rate number than those two prior forgotten deaths. Also unreported is a patient recovering rate of 98% for those without prior life threatening conditions or that Pluristem an Israel based company has created a 100% effective treatment. (Genesis 12:3)

BOTTOM LINE:
Consider that while some were playing dress up, various self annotated bureaucratic oracles forced the closing of private small businesses. Deemed as NON ESSENTIAL in their great oracle wisdom for their polite society at this time. Many of these privately held enterprises were the fruit of a life's work paid for with long hours of hard work by both their owners and employees. Many will silently slide into bankruptcy with some losing homes or everything that they had played by the rules to achieve with their long hard work. With yet more sacrifice called for by EXPERTS. (2 Corinthians 11:15)

Christian and other sanctuaries of faiths sit empty as worship was declared nonessential and thus been placed outside the cultural camp much as lepers have been in the past or present. Even during the Black Death, churches did not shut down. Understand that once a State considers certain elements of it's society as NONESSENTIAL or as CONTAMINATING. Surely as night follows day, purges and pogroms will eventually come their way friend. (Galatians 4:16)
