How does an unconverted sinner know about committing blasphemy against the Holy Spirit? Does it mean he/she can't be forgiven?

Matthew 12:30 - 32

ESV - 30 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. 31 Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

As I’ve heard it explained, Jesus was speaking directly to the Pharisees at that time only, not future believers.

Jesus died for the sins of the Pharisees as well as all the sins of the whole world; except the sin of blasphemy against the Spirit of God. Why was that sin not lain on Jesus as He hung on the cross and died?

Because the Spirit of God is the third Person of the Trinity, the God head. Blasphemy was not covered at the cross. If it had been the kingdom of God would be divided against itself. That's what Matt 12 was about. A kingdom divided against itself will not stand. If anyone blasphemes Jesus, Jesus can forgive that person. But if that same person blasphemes another person of the Trinity, the kingdom would be divided if Jesus shed His blood on that person's behalf. And remember, no one comes to the Father except by the Son.

Any sin that wasn't put on Jesus at the cross is a sin that has to be paid for by the defendant. Your Lawyer can't help you!!
