The only thing that I could suggest is that there will be no vestiges of sin in heaven. Therefore, it might be possible (although I am merely speculating) that any aspects of the condition of the redeemed during their earthly lives that were associated with the effects of sin will no longer exist. In the case of overweight individuals, then, perhaps any detrimental physical condition or spiritual issue (such as lack of self-control) that may have contributed to their physical appearance will no longer have an effect. Also, perhaps the attitude of the redeemed toward their physical condition might play a part. That is, those whose conditions were caused or aggravated by behaviors or actions that were sinful, but who did not acknowledge those behaviors or actions as such, might have a different experience than those who sought to alleviate or change them (even if they were ultimately unsuccessful in doing so). However, one thing of which I am confident is that the condition and appearance of the redeemed in eternity (whatever it may be) will be just as God (showing the same love and mercy that He displayed in redeeming them) will have determined that it should be.

There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 1 Corinthians 15:44 It is sown a natural, or animal body, sōma psuchikon, a body fitted to the low condition and sensitive pleasures and enjoyments of this life, which are all gross in comparison of the heavenly state and enjoyments. But when we rise it will be quire otherwise; our body will rise spiritual. Not that body would be changed into spirit: this would be a contradiction in our common conceptions; it would be as much as to say, Body changed into what is not body, matter made immaterial. The expression is to be understood comparatively. We shall at the resurrection have bodies purified and refined to the last degree, made light and agile; and, though they are not changed into spirit, yet made fit to be perpetual associates of spirits made perfect. And why should it not be as much in the power of God to raise incorruptible, glorious, lively, spiritual bodies, out of the ruins of those vile, corruptible, lifeless, and animal ones, as first to make matter out of nothing, and then, out of the same mass of matter, produce such variety of beings, both in earth and heaven? To God all things are possible; and this cannot be impossible. He illustrates this by a comparison of the first and second Adam: There is an animal body, says he, and there is a spiritual body; and then goes into the comparison in several instances. As we have our natural body, the animal body we have in this world, from the first Adam, we expect our spiritual body from the second. This is implied in the whole comparison. This is but consonant to the different characters these two persons bear: The first Adam was made a living soul, such a being as ourselves, and with a power of propagating such beings as himself, and conveying to them a nature and animal body like his own, but none other, nor better. The second Adam is a quickening Spirit; he is the resurrection and the life. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: John 11:25 He hath life in himself, and quickeneth whom he will. For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. John 5:20-21 The first man was of the earth, made out of the earth, and was earthy; his body was fitted to the region of his abode: but the second Adam is the Lord from heaven; he who came down from heaven, and giveth life to the world; For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. John 6:33 He who came down from heaven and was in heaven at the same time; And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. John 3:13 The Lord of heaven and earth. If the first Adam could communicate to us natural and animal bodies, cannot the second Adam make our bodies spiritual ones? If the deputed lord of this lower creation could do the one, cannot the Lord from heaven, the Lord of heaven and earth, do the other? We must first have natural bodies from the first Adam before we can have spiritual bodies from the second; And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 1 Corinthians 15:49 We must bear the image of the earthy before we can bear the image of the heavenly. Such is the established order of Providence. We must have weak, frail, mortal bodies by descent from the first Adam, before we can have lively, spiritual, and immortal ones by the quickening power of the second. We must die before we can live to die no more. The dead in Christ shall not only rise, but shall rise thus gloriously changed.

Just my opinion, but I believe we will have the physical bodies we would have had before the fall. We will be perfect. Hank Lindstrom whom I respect highly as a great bible teacher says, we will all be as it we were 33 years old. Because when Jesus went to heaven, He was 33 years old and the bible says we will be like Him.

Heaven is a perfect place. We will be perfect in heaven. I don't know if that means we will accept being fat or that we will not be fat. My personal opinion is that we will have perfect souls in heaven. Heaven is not (NOT) a place for things that cause us worry. Read the first sentence again. Thank you.

The question " will I be fat in heaven?" is a simple, innocent question to understand something vague and unconfirmed structure of status of being in a place like heaven which again is beyond understanding. To make it clear I will put 3 instances in the Bible. First when the Jews asked Jesus about the woman, who married seven brothers and died, whose wife she would be after rising from death. Secondly, when after rising from the death Jesus asked his disciples something to eat to show that he was real and not something different. Thirdly when Jesus tasked his disciple Thomas to put his finger in his palm and his hand at his side to confirm his belief in him as real. In all the above cases we see Jesus making it clear to the people that the risen body can posses the same shape and form which the people saw it when someone was alive. But when someone is in heaven, the persons will have no attributes, characteristics of human form or even that of any angel form people usually visualize. It will be a liberated soul just like that of God without shape, structure, weight, hunger, thirst or emotions. When God created man he said "Let us make man in our own image and likeness". Note the words he said "Our" not "My ". That means God is referring to his Trinity form and the Three persons in him. Not the flesh, shape or structure. So, We will have no physical properties in our spiritual form, no physical beauty but the spiritual purity as the beauty of soul. So all those who go to heaven will have the same beauty and holiness. There will be no one as higher and lower, more powerful and less powerful. In fact there will no discrimination of any sort, not even of the gender. So, it is better we practice it while on earth to be worthy of that great privilege given to us by God. So, We must love and treat all men and women, boys and girls, rich and poor, ignorant and intelligent, healthy and sick, sinners and holy people with the same intensity and then surely we will be worthy children of God and he will shower his grace upon us for eternal reward!
