Thank you for your courage to reach out and ask such a pressing question. I’m sure others like me and you who struggle with weight issues are pondering. Heaven is a perfect place. Our new, perfect, resurrected, glorified, imperishable bodies will not be subject to the ills like what our earthly bodies have been. We won’t have earthly desires or the option of unhealthy food or the desire of gluttony.

I think the greatest example of a resurrected body is Jesus Christ, Luke 24:39-43. Although Jesus appeared in the earth, he was in a glorified body to the point that His disciples thought He was a ghost. So He told them to touch His hands, then guess what He asked next? For something to eat! He ate a piece of broiled fish, a great healthy choice and controlled portion. What an awesome example of how we should eat, even in these imperfect, perishable bodies so that we’re healthy to do Kingdom work as we prepare ourselves and the world to arrive to that perfect place, Heaven.

Let’s vow today to start a consistent exercise regimen (brisk walking is great, don’t stress over going to the gym), control how much food we put in our bodies, portion control is so important..the human body doesn’t need much food, start controlling what we put in our bodies (try poultry & fish baked or broiled and vegetables; cut way back on sugary foods, fried foods, flour products, etc and then drink mostly water and lots of it (at least 64 oz per day). You are beautiful and blessed, and I wish you healthy blessings and long life.

Nobody will care if you are fat or thin in heaven because such silly earthly judgemental considerations will mean nothing.
