How do we respond to criminal behavior? Do we speak out against it?

It seems like a certain political group thinks it's "Christian" to condone criminal behavior. Should we not speak out against it (not using foul language or excessive condemnation)? It's as if they are using "turn the other cheek" against us if we do. How should we respond to people that say "Wow, that's really Christian of you" with sarcasm and condemnation?
