God wants us to know that He hears us. The best way I know that you can experience this is by asking God to show you that He hears your prayers & then watch for His answer. Please don't think I'm suggesting that God is a performer, because I am not. God wants you to know He loves you & hears you. There are some prayers that we ask that either take longer to answer than we like, or the answer may be "no". But somehow, some way, God will let you know He sees you. I have just been studying the names of God. One of the names is El Roi "God who sees me". Just think, even Elijah, a wonderful prophet of God, was afraid, and felt defeated and felt God didn't see him and felt he might as well die. (See 1 Kings 19:3) But God did see him and gave him bread & water & helped him get back his strength. (1 Kings 19:4-6). And another story where even though the participants are living lives where they are doing things contrary to God's wishes, God still sees them. This story is where a young woman has had a baby for her mistress, which God did not want to happen. The young woman has acted poorly, the mistress has acted poorly, and the father has acted poorly. We find the young woman named Hagar, mother to Ishmael, laying with her dying baby under a broom tree with no water after she has run away. (See the story of Hagar, Sarai & Abraham in Genesis 16). An Angel of the Lord appears to Hagar & tells her to "go back & live with your mistress as you should". The Angel also told her that she was to name him Ishmael, because God had heard her woes, he further said that he would be a "great nation", but that he would be a "wild man". After that Hagar spoke of God -- because that was who actually appeared to her -- "as, the God who looked upon me." But, it isn't just Bible stories who these thing happen to. When I first started praying, like you, I didn't know how God could hear every prayer. But as my faith has grown, I realize that nothing is impossible for God. Keep talking to Him, keep praying to Him, keep asking the Holy Spirit to help you study the Bible and your faith will grow. God bless you.

How can we know that God hears us when we pray? We can know that God hears us when we pray through a combination of faith, scripture, and the personal experience of peace that transcends circumstances. Scripture promises that God hears the prayers of those who seek Him. Experiencing a sense of peace after praying is often seen as evidence that God is present and listening, regardless of whether our circumstances change. A common sign of God hearing us is a feeling of peace that settles over us after we have prayed, even if our situation remains unchanged. This is because prayer is often viewed as a way to connect with God, and the connection itself brings a sense of calm. Conclusion: How does God answer our prayers? He does so in a variety of ways. Jehovah has provided his Word, the Bible, where we often find answers to our questions. Reading God's Word can "[make] the inexperienced one wise." (Psalm 19:7; read James 1:5.) He can give us peace of mind when we face challenges. And he can move his worshippers to help us when we really need it. God uses his holy spirit to answer our prayers. When we pray for help to cope with a problem, he may use his holy spirit to give us guidance and strength. (2 Corinthians 4:7) God also uses the Bible to answer our prayers and to help us make wise decisions. When we read the Bible, we may find scriptures that will help us. God can also motivate someone who comments at a meeting to say what we need to hear or an elder in the congregation to share a point from the Bible with us.—Galatians 6:1. HOW GOD ANSWERS OUR PRAYERS: "O Hearer of prayer, to you people of all sorts will come."—Psalm 65:2 How does God answer our prayers? Proverbs 12:25; Revelation 14:6 God can use angels or humans to help us. 2 Corinthians 4:7 His holy spirit gives us the help we need. Philippians 4:6, 7, 13 He gives us the peace and strength we need to endure. Galatians 6:1; 2 Timothy 3:16, 17 He gives us wisdom through the Bible and the congregation. Jesus promised that his holy spirit would 'bring back to mind all the things he had taught.' (John 14:26) Similarly, if you pray for guidance, God can call to your mind scriptures or godly principles that bear on the matter. Of course, God will expect some effort on your part, such as researching matters in the Bible or seeking mature advice. God can bless your efforts, at times even giving "the power beyond what is normal" so that you can endure.—2 Corinthians 4:7. We must always keep in mind, though, that you must also be willing to accept God's answer. God, in his wisdom, may see things you do not see. So if you ask for something and don't receive it, that doesn't mean Jehovah wasn't listening. It could simply mean you have asked for something that was not in your best interests. As the proverb says: "4, So find thou favour and good repute, In the eyes of God and man. 5 Trust thou in Yahweh with all thy heart, and unto thine own understanding do not lean: 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight thy paths." (Proverbs 3:4-6 Rotherham Bible) Keep praying about it, and you will eventually receive God's direction. The Bible urges true Christians not to lose confidence in the value of prayer. 'That is easier said than done,' some might say. True, if we have been enduring a nagging problem or some injustice, we may find it hard to wait for God's answer. We do well, though, to remember what Jesus taught about persistence in prayer. Jesus gave the illustration of a needy widow who kept going to an unfair judge to obtain justice. Read this account, Luke 18:1-3. Though we may at times get weary of asking for help or a favour, we should not give up. By persevering in prayer, we show the genuineness of our desire to God's hand in our lives. We also learn to recognise God’s answers to our petitions and, as a result, draw closer to him. Yes, we can be confident that Jehovah will answer our proper prayers if we keep asking in faith.

Hebrews 11:6 says, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Mark 11:24 says, "Therefore I say to you, what things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." It is evident that we must first believe that God hears us when we pray! Simply trusting in His promises, because God cannot lie! There are two more verses of Scripture that I would like to share: 1 John 5:14: "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us; 15 And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him." These verses of Scripture are confirming one another! We do not need a man or a woman to confirm the Word of God for us, we simply need to take God at His Word!
