I am a Property Manager for a Senior Community
My husband Scott & I co-manage a senior community & have for 10 years. We love our work & our employer, a non-profit. I teach, or at least lead a Bible Study of about 14 residents every Tuesday.

I came to the Lord about 20 years ago, but it has been a slow walk. The last 10 have been dedicated to my Lord & Savior Jesus. I have had a lot of illness along the way, but I keep on walking, keep on going, keep on working, never give up, keep on smiling. I also teach scrapbooking and jewelry making here in my little community. I like to keep my residents happy and busy. If I could teach arts & crafts every day I would , but I'd never a get any office work done.
I love my residents so much and try so hard to make sure that when anyone gets ill, those of us in Bible Study have a chance to pray with them and want to make sure that not a person dies in this community without at least being offered the opportunity to have someone pray with them so we can lead them to Jesus and the sinners prayer before they die. This is so important to me. Of course, it doesn't always happen as I hope. But we do our best, and God knows our intentions. We just baptized 6 people in our spa in the last 2 weeks. Can you believe it? 1 of them was me. I am so crippled from my scoliosis, I had not been baptized at my church because I did not want to be a big spectacle in front of the church, but this was perfect. Our Head of Maintenance is a Minister, & he baptized all of us. It was wonderful. I am what you would call a Non Denominational Christian. My church is a big church and that is what i love about it. I love the Lord. I want to serve Him. I want to serve others. That is the entirety of my ministry -- to serve others. That is why God put me here. So many sweet souls, lonely sweet older people, some with family, some without. Some just need kind words, a friend and sometimes someone to bring them to the Lord. I thank God every day for this job and this place he has put me.

How can we know that God hears us when we pray?

God wants us to know that He hears us. The best way I know that you can...
