Christmas, Easter and more were originally pagan rites and in order for the "established" religion to try and draw them away, they made Christian celebrations coinside with the pagan rites of the return of the sun and fertility rites. Even the Christmas trees and lights are of pagan origins. So, you make up your own mind, do these things sound like something you want in your Christian Life?
