Our heart is our inner man, who we are; the heart of a Christian is made up of our spirit (the eternal part of man) and soul (the mind, will, and emotions). We are told to renew our hearts to the Word, keep it before our eyes, to be careful to do all that is written so that God can fulfill His promises. We are to guard our hearts. Out of the heart flow the issues of life; depending on what we have putting into it will come either evil treasure (anything contrary to the Word of God), or good treasure.
