In my opinion, a Christian worldview is determined by and characterized by a belief that the Bible is absolutely true. Extremely important are the first verses of Genesis and the gospel of John - "in the beginning God created" and "in the beginning was the Word". If an individual believes that life emerged from some primordial goo, how will they ever have an understanding of how important is the decision of where they will spend eternity? I believe that the widespread acceptance of the theory of evolution is the major impetus for a worldview so diametrically opposed to the truth of the Bible. Relative humanism is the result when there is no belief in the original lawgiver, God almighty. If a person does not believe that God created the heavens and earth about 6,000 years ago, how can they believe the rest of the Bible and God's plan of salvation through belief in Jesus Christ?

There are numerous worldviews eg Islamic, Hindu, secular, etc. The Christian worldview should be based on the word of God, that is the bible. However many believers, even in Christian teachers, have incorporated scientific theories above biblical teachings. So we have a 4 billion year old earth with death and suffering hundreds of years before Adam and Eve’s appearance and subsequent rebellion. In Romans 5 we are told that sin entered earth together with death and suffering with the Eden rebellion against God about 6 thousand years ago. The take home message is that one cannot replace God’s world with so called worldly wisdom. To do so is to destroy the whole truth of Christ’s redemption of mankind’s sin. The Bible interpreted literally in context is absolute truth and should be the foundation and base of the Christian worldview.
